Grand Master Park Jung Tae
(9th degree Black Belt)
Founder and Former president Of Global
T aekwon-Do Federation

Grand Master Park Jung Tae was a student of Taekwon-Do for his lifetime. He was an instructor "dream student". When he began training in Taekwon-Do it didn't take long for his natural talents to emerge and it was shortly thereafter that he became known for his technical expertise.

Grand Master Park became well known in the ITF and he played a very important role in its development, especially in the 1980's. He was sought after to conduct seminars throughout the world due to his knowledge and ability to teach regardless of language barriers. Everyone who knew him felt his indomitable spirit and his humbleness was his greatest attribute. Grand Master Park was a true martial artist who worked diligently and faithfully to reach the rank of Grand Master.

1990 Grand Master Park form a new Taekwon-Do Federation that was non-political and not funded by any government. The Global Taekwon-Do Federation, known as the GTF, became a registered entity and the third Taekwon-Do Federation in the world to be recognized by South Korea.

International Instructor and Examiner

Mr.Lawrence Perera is the founder of SLGTF, and the official Representative of Global Taekwon-Do Federation Canada. He started Taekwon Do 1n 1976 and he is the most senior, qualified, recognized and experience International Instructor in Sri Lanka. He is the first Instructor invite to conduct training and seminar in Sri Lanka from a Taekwon-Do world Leader.

He gets the Black belt 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Degree black belts from Grand Master Park Jung Tae. He is conducting classes all over Sri Lanka. And has taught more than 10,000 students under him. He has participated International Instructor and Umpire courses, World and European Championships held in India 91, Canada 95/98/2002, USA 97/99, Bulgaria 94, Italy 2000, Scotland 2001

He has devoted his time and energy during the last 25 years to perfecting techniques as well as promoting demonstrating teaching Taekwon-Do around Sri Lanka

1997 He appointed as a Committee member and Adviser of Taekwon-Do Interim board, and a National Selection Committee member of Taekwon-Do (1999) in Sri Lanka by the Minister of sports.
